About Our Blog

Our class blog is one of the ways we are sharing our learning with our families, friends and
other people in our community. As our blog evolves we hope it will help us further develop our
learning, communication and creating skills. Please support us by responding with positive comments.
Our blog is published on the Internet and we hope lots of other people will enjoy finding out
what is happening in our class.
We know it is very important that we use our blog and the Internet in a secure way.

Here is our list of guidelines that will keep our students blogging safely.

• Students with written permission from Parents/Legal Guardians to have work/images published
(as per school cyber-safety guidelines) will feature on our blog.

• We will only use first names to identify student work samples.
Please remember when you leave a comment to use first names only. (Parents/caregivers please post
comments as ‘Sam’s Mum’ or ‘Emma’s Grandpa’)

• In class we will make decisions and plan and write blog articles together about the learning
and ideas we share. Stephanie Hook is the only person with access to make posts on our blog.

• Students love visiting their blog and enjoy submitting comments at home.
At this young age they are best supported in doing this with guidance from an older family member.

• Submitted comments will only be added to our blog when they have been approved by
Stephanie Hook to be appropriate and constructive.

• Our aim is to develop our communication literacy skills so please set an example by
modelling good written language in using full sentences and correct spelling when you submit
a comment.
